The heart always wants what it wants. I put a lot of “love” into this abstract. There are so many things I could say about it. I wanted it to be visually compelling with my usual colorful flair, while attempting to stir up strong feelings and emotional longing for…well, you decide. There are several cool colors, leading and longing for warmth in certain areas. It’s being in the midst of winter and suddenly charmed by a warm February day. It makes us hunger for those warm summer months when the days are long and the nights are delightfully full of romance and, well, …”the heart wants what it wants…”

This painting is 48x24, done in acrylic on a gallery-wrapped canvas. It’s painted to be displayed vertically or horizontally, up or down. You decide which way speaks to you.
