Inspired by my mother's Zinnia garden, this happy painting reflects the strength and beauty of these colorful flowers and how they spring into existence in their own independent way.
Every summer my mother plants a thriving garden of colorful zinnias, which inspires me to paint them, in some fashion. These beautiful, hearty flowers (to me) represent the beauty and freedom of nature in the way that they move and grow together. The original painting is done on an 18x18 cradled masonite wooden panel (1.5 inch deep), and was painted in acrylic.
